Temple University Alumni Association

Upon graduation and through a one-time student graduation fee, all alumni are automatically granted Life Membership in the Temple University Alumni Association (TUAA). The TUAA serves as your link to Temple whether you have just graduated or been away from the University for years.

Founded in 1927, the TUAA represents Temple University’s 245,000 living alumni in 50 states and over 160 countries. The TUAA is the umbrella organization for the seventeen school/college alumni associations, the Young Alumni Committee, shared-interest alumni groups and currently, eight regional alumni clubs. The TUAA Board of Directors is comprised of a representative from each school/college alumni association, directors-at-large, national directors, and faculty and student representatives.

The TUAA's participation in University governance is evidenced through alumni representation on key University and Trustee committees and through its president who serves ex-officio with full voting privileges on the University's Board of Trustees. In the past ten years, the Board of Directors of the TUAA has contributed over $3,000,000 on behalf of all alumni, to Temple University, supporting projects ranging from The Liacouras Center to the Medical School library, the athletics program, and numerous events and programs promoting alumni participation.

The Alumni Center staff coordinates a variety of events and programs such as class and shared-interest group reunions, Founder's Celebration, Senior Scholars, Temple on the Road, young alumni activities, student alumni association activities, and the regional clubs program. Numerous benefits such as a free Temple email account, discounted auto/homeowners’ insurance, a travel program, and access to campus recreation, technical, and library facilities are available to alumni through membership in the TUAA.
